Online application is a five step process

2. Applicants seeking admission under State and Central Boards (SCB) stream must meet the criteria of minimum percentage cut‐off marks for eligibility. If their percentage in Class 12 Board is less than the percentage cut‐off marks specified in the MINIMUM MARKS TABLE, then their application will not be accepted. Please consider all subjects for which numerical numbers have been awarded to calculate the percentage.
Following three exemptions are applicable to this criterion:
Merely meeting the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate for admission to IISERs. Students applying through State and Central Boards channel will be required to appear and qualify the IISER Aptitude Test - 2015.
3. Keep the Class 10 Mark-sheet for entering Name and Date birth in the application form
4. Keep the Class 12 Mark-sheet for entering Board, Roll Number, percentage marks obtained in the application form
5. Keep a JPG file of your recent colored passport size photograph for uploading in the form. The file size should not be more than 1 MB and the file name should be of alphanumeric characters only, without any gap, dot or any other character in between. Only JPG file format is accepted in the application form.)
6. Payment of non-refundable fees is Rs. 1500 (Rs. 750) for GE/OBC-NC (SC, ST, KM) is through payment gateway. You can pay by Debit or Credit card, or Netbanking. Please ask your parent/Guardian to be present during STEP 5.
7. Note: Some characters are not accepted in the form. These are: Single quote ( ' ), Double quote ( " ) and backslash ( \ ). The form will be returned for correction if these characters are found on the application form.
STEP 2. Filling up and submitting the online application form

Category under which you seek admission
One of the following categories to be chosen: GE, OBC-NC, SC, ST, GE‐PD, OBC‐PD, SC‐PD and ST‐PD, KM. Incorrect selection of category will lead to disqualification at any stage of admission. Applicants seeking admission under any of the reserved categories SC, ST, OBC, NC or KM must produce appropriate category certificate at the time of admission. Additionally, applicants seeking admission under OBC category must also obtain non‐creamy layer certificate issued by appropriate authority and dated after March 31, 2015. |

2. After filling up all the 15 items above, please press PREVIEW and recheck all your entries.
3. If you need to make any changes, please use EDIT button and revise/modify the entries.
4. After you are satisfied that all the entries are correct, click on the SUBMIT button on the preview screen.
STEP 3. Unique Application number and Password generation
1. After pressing the SUBMIT button, you will be given an unique Application Number and Password which you need to use for all subsequent access to the application process.
2. Close this page, however, remember to save your Application Number password.
If you forget your password, go to Applicants Login page and click Forgot Password link. Password will be sent to you at the email address provided by you.
STEP 4. Uploading passport size photograph in JPEG format
1. Open the admission website (www.iiser‐admissions.in). Go to the Applicants Login page. You will be asked your Application Number and the Password to login.
2. On Applicants Login, you will be prompted to upload your colored passport size photograph.
Only jpg file format is accepted by the system. The file size should not be more than 1MB and the file name should be of alphanumeric characters only, without any gap, dot or any other character in between. If you are not satisfied with the quality of your photograph, repeat this step and upload another photograph.
STEP 5. Payment of Fees
1. The non refundable application fee is Rs.1500/‐ for GEN/OBC and Rs.750/‐ for SC / ST/KM. For payment of Application Fee, click Pay Fees after Login. You will be directed to the Payment Gateway page.
2. After successful completion of the fee‐payment process you will be redirected back to the applicants Login page of online application form. Additional menu item of Print Application Form and Print HALL TICKET will appear after successful completion of fee‐payment process. Print the application form and the HALL TICKET.
3. The candidate and his/her parent/guardian must sign the PRINTED application. You are required to bring the completed application form and the HALL TICKET at the time of the IISER aptitude test. Do not tamper the barcode printed on the application form.
